What happens if AOOS loses NOAA funding?

The White House has announced plans to eliminate the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) — a decision that would have dire consequences for AOOS and the many Alaskans who rely on the vital ocean data we provide.

At Global Ocean Health we collaborate with AOOS, among others in the ocean observing system, and we rely their work.  

Anyone who depends on the oceans for a living or for food has a stake in this.  Anyone who relies on weather reports for safety has a big stake in this.
